Bring your creativity and take home a French Chèvre Leather Cardholder!

Course Overview:

During this workshop, you will learn the basics of leather maintenance, saddle stitch, and edge burnishing skills. You will also gain an understanding of the tools and materials used in leather crafting.

We will be using premium French chèvre leather (The same material used by Hermes!) to create your handmade cardholder.

Prior to the workshop, you will have the option to reserve your preferred leather color from a selection of high-quality options. You will also have the opportunity to personalize your creation with optional personal engraving, which can be requested in advance. 

No prior knowledge of leather crafting is required, and all materials and tools will be provided.

Course Outline:

  • Check in with the host and pick up your material pack
  • Meet and greet with the instructors from L for Leather Studio
  • Introduction to leather crafting and the tools and materials used in the workshop
  • Safety instructions and precautions
  • Leather bonding
  • Saddle stitching
  • Edges burnishing
  • Basic leather maintenance

  • 2 hours of professional instruction
  • Pre-cut, pre-punched leather pieces

  • Waxed thread
  • Seiwa burnishing gum
  • Sanding blocks
  • Wooden burnisher
