The acrylic marker is naturally water-resistant, but remember, the leather isn't.
You can add a layer of acrylic finisher to make your patch waterproof and fade-proof for extra durability.

Acrylic Finisher
How-to
Feeling up for a challenge?
Grab some leather paint (we recommend Angelus), a few toothpicks, sharp needles, and maybe even some paintbrushes if you're a painting pro.
* For the edge or covering the whole patch, use the big brush that comes with Angelus paint.
* For fine lines, dip a toothpick in the paint and draw onto the patch. Just be gentle – no scratching, just graceful paint transfers.
* Need ultra-fine lines? Employ those sharp needles for the same technique.
Final Step: Brush on a layer of acrylic finisher to make your patch waterproof and fade-proof for extra durability.

Tips for Painting Success:
Less is more: Start with a small amount of acrylic paint and layer it on as needed. Acrylic paint dries quickly!
Be patient: Wait for one layer to dry before adding another. Remember, acrylic paint is speedy.
Be fearless: Mistakes happen to the best of us. Cover them up with another layer of paint and keep going.
